William Blevins

Reverend William “Bruce” Blevins, 67 of Alexander, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 8 ,2022, surrounded by family.

He was born on April 2, 1954, in Bernie, Missouri, to Helen Jeanette Blevins and Reverend Jessie “Jay” Blevins. He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, Wib and Freida Blevins, Bill and Maxine O’Heren, his uncle and aunt Seral and Wilda Embrey and cousins Scott and Jonathan Embrey of California.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Diann Blevins of Alexander, Arkansas, three children, Sarah Beth Dungy (Louis) of Plano, Texas, Anthony “Tony” Bruce Blevins (Amanda) of Bixby, Oklahoma, and Catherine Elizabeth Wetherington of Little Rock, Arkansas. Two siblings, Michael Jay Blevins (Kathy) of Lavaca, Arkansas, Joni Lynn Terry (Giff) of Maumelle, Arkansas, four grandchildren, Kalla and Carson Dungy, Rylee Wetherington, and Keelin Blevins, three nephews, Christopher Blevins (Melissa) of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Patrick Terry (Sarah) of Tonitown, Arkansas, Michael Terry (Gina) of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and many loving friends and his feline furbaby, Sandy.

Bruce was a loving and devoted husband, father, paw-paw, brother, good-looking favorite uncle Bruce and friend. Reverend Bruce Blevins pastored Life Unlimited Christian Fellowship for ten years. He ministered to others in Guatemala, Mexico, Romania, and across the United States. He was also the Sales Director for Arkansas Copier for thirty years.

Bruce was a faithful man who love the Lord with all his heart. Even during his sickness, he continued to tell others about his Jesus. He read and studied the Bible daily and was an example to everyone on how to walk in God’s love. Bruce enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, and taking his grandkids fishing and hunting.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 12:30 pm at Jubilee Church, 24014 North Hwy 365, Maumelle, Arkansas, 72113 with Reverend Tracy Harris, Reverend David Bentley and Pastor Marvin Barham officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 12:30, prior to the service.
