Sharon Alberta Weldon-Burris, age 55, of Jacksonville, AR formerly of West Helena, AR, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 25, 2011 at her home. She was born on July 6, 1955 in Conway, AR, to Harry Reece Callihan and Helen Drake Callihan. She was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and a friend to all that knew her. She spent many years as a homemaker, caring for her children. She later worked at Tyson Foods in North Little Rock, AR, for several years. Then attended Pulaski Technical School and earned her LPN license, which was one of her proudest accomplishments. "Sherry" is preceded in death by her father, Harry Reece Callihan. Sharon leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Helen Lorraine Drake Callihan of Benton, AR; daughter, Alisa Montgomery and husband Steven of Sheridan, AR; son, Shawn Weldon and wife Michelle of Clarksville; 2 grandchildren, Adrian Weldon and Megan Hughes; and one great granddaughter, Madison Hughes. "Sherry" is also survived by her brothers, Mark Callihan and wife Donna of Alexander, AR, & David Callihan and wife Karen of Little Rock, AR; sisters, Karen Myers of Conway, AR, & Glynis Neal of Conway, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. "Sherry" enjoyed talking on the phone to her children, reading books, watching movies, crocheting, and spending time with the neighborhood children - whom she treated like her grandchildren. She also enjoyed taking her little dog, Stubby, on walks. The family extends special thanks to everyone at Family Church and the great friends that have helped them endure this difficult time. May you all be blessed beyond measure. A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday March, 5th, Family Church - Conference Room A, Pine Bluff, AR. www.familychurch.ws
