Sandra Lou Sanders, aged 69, died peacefully on October 9, 2015 in her home with her husband of 52 years, William (Ron) Sanders. Sandra was born on April 22, 1946, in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Helen Marie Jones.
Sandra graduated Cum Laude from UAMS with a degree in Advanced Nurse Practitioner. She later earned a law degree from William Bowen School of Law. Sandra worked for McMath Law Firm for 21 years.
In 1962, Sandra married the love of her life Ron Sanders in West Memphis, Arkansas. They settled in Little Rock in 1968 where they raised their four children; the late Billy Sanders (Kaye) of Southaven, Mississippi, Rhonda Burkhalter, Bobby Sanders (Jill), and Deborah White (Curtis). She was a grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of two. Sandra enjoyed watching her grandkids play sports and was an avid reader.
Visitation for friends and family will be held Saturday, October 17th, from 1-4pm at 1145 Williver Road, Hensley, Arkansas, 72065. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the ALS Foundation and ALS In Wonderland. Services entrusted to Arkansas Cremation. Guests may register at www.arkansascremation.com.
