Robert O’Neal Alexander, 76, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas passed away from his battle with Parkinson’s on October 20, 2020. He was preceded in death by his brother Roy, followed by his father David, his mom Louise and his brother David Jr.
Robert was born January 13, 1944 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee to David and Louise (Bates) Alexander. He was married to his wife Rita of Arcadia, California for 56 years.
He attended Pasadena High School in Pasadena, California. He went to work with his Dad in the tree service business before starting Alexander’s Tree Service in Sierra Madre, California in 1964. He retired from his tree service business after 45 years and moved to Lake Arrowhead, California. In 2011, Bob and his wife Rita moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
Bob played baseball and slow pitch softball growing up and had a love for the outdoors including golfing, hunting and a passion unlike any other for bass fishing. He won the Tournament of Champions on Lake Mead, Nevada in 1996 & 1998 and won a new boat from Ranger for the largest bass in the National Bass Tournament in 1982 and many other awards.
He is survived by his wife, Rita of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, his daughters, Tonya Anderson of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Nicole Fess of Republic, Missouri and Jennifer Reyes of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Robert, Allyson, Alicia, Christian, Naomi and Marissa and 1 great grandson, Elijah.
Bob will be dearly missed by his family and all that knew him.
*There will be no memorial service at this time. We will be having a celebration of life in Spring of 2021 in Hot Springs Village. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the Parkinson’s Foundation on behalf of Robert O. Alexander.
