Polly Ann Hill Davis passed away November 19, 2016 from complications of frontotemporal dementia. She was born December 2, 1956 to the late Henry Leon and Edna Mae Frisby Hill in Brownwood, TX.
She was a strong believer in education and earned a BA in English and Masters in Adult Education. She completed the course work for an Ed.D. but sacrificed her degree to care for her terminally-ill father and developmentally disabled brother rather than completing her dissertation.
Polly was a gourmet cook and loved to share her creations with family and friends. She enjoyed going to antique stores, estate sales and flea markets. She loved music and animals, especially her cat Miss Puss and dogs Oggie and Buddy.
Her parents and brother, Dennis, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Steven Dale Davis of the home, brother Danny of Brownwood, TX, and in-laws Nancy, Rick, Margie and nephew Nathan Davis of Little Rock, AR.
A celebration of Polly’s life will be held Wednesday, November 23 at 11:00 am at Lifeway Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor Freddy Parker with visitation at 10:00 am.
Special thanks are extended to the staffs of Baptist ICU South and Hospice Home Care Inpatient Center who cared for her so lovingly. Memorials may be made to Hospice Home Care, 2200 South Bowman Road, LR 72211 or Alzheimer’s Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Drive, LR, AR 72205.
