Patricia Janssen

Patricia Ruth Powell Janssen, of Edgemont, went to her home on Dec. 16, 2013. She fought Dementia with dignity, class, humor, and wit. She was born on April 25, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri. Pat enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and baking. She was a perpetual spitfire and an undeniable spirit. Pat was longtime co-proprietor of Lakefront Lodge and Restaurant along with Fred, her husband of nearly sixty years who preceded her in death in January 2013. Pat is survived by daughter, Julie John Barnum of Greers Ferry, son Tim Beth Janssen of Greers Ferry, son Fred Janssen Jr. of Bastrop, TX. Pat is also survived by grandchildren: Patty, Hunter, Connor, Sam, and Summer. Pat also is survived by Shirley Flavin, sister and Harry Powell, brother as well as sister-in-law Norma Janssen. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Cleburne County Aging Program.
