Nancy Rosa Lee Stewart Birdsong, 104, was born December 23, 1912 and passed away November 20, 2017.
Nancy Rosa Lee Stewart was the sixth child of thirteen children born to the union of John William Stewart and Cornelia Thornton Stewart in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Nancy was educated in the Little Rock School System, and at a young age, while in Little Rock, she acknowledged her belief and love for Christ Jesus.
Nancy relocated to Detroit Michigan in the mid 1940s, where she met and married in 1948 her late husband, Henry Birdsong. She was a loving and devoted wife until his death in 1988.
Ms.Birdsong moved back to Little Rock during 2000, where she resided with her sister, Ms.Verna Conway. As her health began to fail, she became a resident of the Woodland Hills Nursing and Rehab Center where she remained until her death.
She leaves to mourn her death so many loving and kind memories, one sister, Ms. Verna Conway, one Great Niece, Frances Pullins (Clarence) and a host of great-great nieces and nephews along with cousins, and others whom she became acquainted with.
Ms. Birdsong's kind and quiet demeanor, along with her infectious smile will be sorely missed. She will always have a special place in the hearts of her loved ones.
