Mary Gene Stratton Zeigler, age 89, peacefully departed this life on December 19th, 2013 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Dan Nehus, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Her parents, Milton and Emily Stratton, of Menomonie, Wisconsin preceded her in death, as did one sister Ruth Quigley of Kankakee, Illinois and four brothers, Harold and Bob Stratton of Menomonie, WI, Carrol Stratton of Boulder City, Nevada, and Richard Stratton of California. Her only daughter, Sandy and her husband Dan, one grandson Mark Nehus and Jenna, and three fantastic great-grandchildren, Chloe, Sophia, and Collin Nehus all of Little Rock, survive her. She is also survived by one sister, Nancy Doane and her husband Russell, who reside in Menomonie, WI. We would like to thank the staff at Arkansas Hospice for helping us keep Mom comfortable and providing all of us support and love. She will be missed and we ask that in lieu of flowers, any donations in her honor be made to Arkansas Hospice Foundation, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, AR 72116/or www.arkansashospice.org/donations OR Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church in Forrest City, AR, where she was a member for the past 58 years. At her request a memorial service will be held in her hometown of Menomonie, WI.
