Lloyd Lynn Durnal, 63, passed peacefully on December 24, 2017, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, AR.
Lloyd Lynn was born October 4, 1954, to Lloyd Dee Durnal and Bonita Ruth (McCollum) Durnal, and he lived many lifetimes in his 63 years. Highlights include Cabot High (Class of ’72), U.S. Army (11B Infantryman), UALR (Radio/TV/Film major), Lloyd’s Automatic Transmission Shop, OSHA Safety Consulting, Cabot Big Band (trumpet), The Gideon’s International, and long-time membership at Oak Grove First Baptist Church. He lived life in overdrive (often to the embarrassment of his family!) and had a passion for cars, motorcycles, boats, firearms, music, sci-fi, travel, and all things fun-related.
He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Susan, and their children Michelle Pressler (Jonathan) and Lloyd Dee Durnal. His legacy lives on through them and through his greatest joys - Poppa’s babies - Hunter, Madison, Blake, Kaily, Allison, Logan, Sara, Mackenzie, Cole, Shiann, Dallas, Austin, Ashton, Braden, Jack, and Kennedy. Having never met a stranger, he also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.
To honor his wishes for a party rather than a funeral, a public End of Life Celebration is planned for Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Cabot (The Venue). Cremated remains will be interred at Oak Grove Cemetery.
