Little Rock resident, Larry Therrell, 69, died December 11, 2015 at Conway Nursing and Rehab.
He is survived by his partner of twenty years, Thomas Davis; one sister, Judy Kyle; and cat, Lulu.
Mr. Therrell was born September 25, 1946, to Raymond Earl Therrell and Bertha May Wooten Therrell. He graduated from El Dorado High School in 1965. After serving several years in the United States Air Force, he graduated from Southern Arkansas University. He worked at the Department of Human Services and then taught Adult Education at Oil Belt Vocational School in El Dorado, Arkansas, where helped many individuals earn their GED diplomas. He then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, and served many years as supervisor for the Adult Education Division of the Department of Career Education. During this time, he also earned his Master’s Degree from the University of Arkansas. Until he became ill, he was an active member of Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church.
Larry loved life, people, and was always there to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed collecting antiques and has a beautiful and priceless collection in his home. Thomas wishes to thank the staff at Conway Nursing & Rehab for the excellent quality of care he received. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m., December 19, 2015, at Mt. Holly Cemetery in Little Rock. Services entrusted to Arkansas Cremation. Guests may register at www.ArkansasCremation.com.
