John Rison “JR” Fordyce V, 23, of Little Rock, passed away August 22, 2021. He was born Jan. 1, 1998, in Hot Springs to Samantha Amy Morgan and John “Jack” Rison Fordyce IV.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack, and aunt, Anne Fordyce. The joy of his life is his son, John Rison “RJ” Fordyce VI. Honor to RJ’s mother, Brittany LaCaze. He is also survived by his mother, Samantha Amy Morgan, half-brothers Jacob and Jordan, grandparents Sheri Pryor Nichols (Carl Fowler), Patsy Cathcart Fordyce, John R. Fordcye III (Linda Hall Fordyce). Uncle William Fordyce, (Karen) cousins Emily and Carly; Aunt Elizabeth Fordyce, cousins David and Kenneth. Three close step-aunts, 5 step-cousins and a host of friends.
He never met a stranger. With amazing energy and glowing enthusiasm, he could light up a room. He was proud of his progress working in concrete construction. He loved to bike, hike swim, fish, play cards and be with family and with friends.
Many people faithfully held him in their hearts and prayers. He knew and appreciated that. His family is grateful for this flow of love for JR and are assured he is now safe in God’s arms. Chuck Knight who taught him the concrete business, Lorie and Jonathan White and the Renewal Ranch deeply contributed to JR’s faith and hope.
The memorial service will be held in the courtyard of the First United Methodist Church, Eighth & Center, Little Rock, Arkansas on Wednesday, September 1, at 10:00 am, masks required. The family will gather for internment on a later date.
