Helen Holloway

Helen Louise Neyland Holloway, 93, of Little Rock answered Jesus’ call to be with Him eternally on November 6, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents Noah and Iona Neyland and is the last of 10 siblings: Ruth Neyland Wright, Israel Neyland, Noah Neyland Jr, Ioda Neyland Braggs, Sam Neyland, Annie Neyland Baugh, Isiah Neyland, Estella Neyland Banks, and Louise’s twin - Edna Lucille Neyland Buckley. Louise was also preceded in death by her oldest son, Joe Louis Neyland. She leaves to cherish her memory 3 children by birth and 4 additional children by marriage: Eugene Holloway, Jr., Vhaeda Holloway Massey, Seritia Holloway Clark, Alice Holloway Taylor Johnny, Ray Holloway Bobbie, Valina Holloway Roper Charles, and Bettye Holloway Taylor Ron. Through these 7, Louise was proud grandmother and great grandmother to over 25 children. The family acknowledges a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who love Louise and is always proud to call her "Aunt Fat" and "Big Sis", stemming from her being such a plump and healthy baby as compared to her twin sister, Lucille. Special thanks to her dear friend and neighbor for many years, Don Barnes, who watched over Louise as though she was his mother at Jesse Powell Towers; and, the kind and caring staff at Good Shepherd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where Louise lived the last several months. Louise was always known to be a hard and dedicated worker, having retired from a long career at the VA Hospital. Never known to be a "social butterfly", she was very independent and preferred private living when given an option. Keeping with those traditions, Louise’s family will have a private service and burial and appreciates your prayers and understanding. Cards and condolences may be sent to Seritia Clark, 9712 Kensington Drive, Little Rock, AR 72204 and a family gathering in Louise’s honor will be at the home of Ron and Bettye Taylor, 110 Sologne Forest Drive, Maumelle AR from 1:00 until 4:00 pm Monday, November 12th.
