Frances Haynie, 90, of NLR passed away Monday July 28, 2014. Frances was born March 19, 1924 to the late Sam and Willie Allen. Frances retired from Real Estate Sales with Lakehill Realty in NLR. At one time, Frances sang with the Sweet Adelines; she was a skilled pianist with an incredible voice. She was an incredibly beautiful lady, and in 1940 was crowned Clark County Queen Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, LB Haynie. She leaves behind her son, RL "Bob" Haynie Carolyn of Little Rock; 3 grandchildren, Debbie Nash James of NLR, Shane Winstead Keith of Lexington, Kentucky, and Bobby Haynie Whitney of NLR. Also 6 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She had a best friend, of over 30 years, Vera Russell of NLR, with whom she shared a lifetime of friendship. Grandma Haynie also shared a very special bond with her first great granddaughter, Amber Wise Eggins, who took great care of her grandmother.
Frances was a member of Park Hill Christian Church. Graveside Memorial Service will be held Friday August 1st, Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Sherwood @ 9:30.
