David Russell

David A. Russell was born on October 30, 1948 to Evelyn June Garrett Russell and Jack Edward Russell in Circleville, OH. He was the second child of three sons. His older brother Briggs passed as an infant. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Virginia A. Akes Russell; two sons, David II and Michael Edward; two daughters, Heather Jeannette Russell Baez and Stephanie Mai Russell Pierce. During his life David was a boy scout and on the Olympic swim team for Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. He was an amateur radio operator known by the call sign, WA8VMI. He made his living in the electronic industry. On Saturday, August 20th, 2011 David left this earth for his heavenly home. The last ten years have been marked by major health hurdles such as amputations, broken hip, broken leg, blindness and dialysis three times a week. He was larger than life to his loved ones and will be greatly missed. Memorial Mass will be said Saturday, 10:00 a. m., August 27th at Our Lady of Holy Souls Catholic Church in Little Rock. His urn will be placed in the columbarium located at Holy Souls.
