Dan Smith

In the loving arms of his wife, Dr. Dan Glenn Smith, 76, of Little Rock went home to be with his Savior December 21 after a long fight with cancer.

A celebration of life will be Saturday 1 pm, at the Little Rock Compassion Center with Rev William and Rosemary Holloway officiating.

Born to the late Jimmie and Glen Smith on July 28, 1945, he was also preceded in death by grandparents Vollie and Beulah Smith.

He is survived by his wife Susann Smith, daughters Kloey Jocis (David), San Diego, Shannon Schibel (Joey), Beaver Dam, Va., sons Ian Smith (Carri) of Plano, and Derek  Smith (Erica), Little Rock, and grandchildren Savannah, Kasen, Ainslae, Ryan, Tyler, and Ariah.

Dr. Dan shared in the vision of Pastor Holloway at the Little Rock Compassion Center in changing the lives of men and women in the drug and alcohol program in leading them to Jesus Christ.

The family gives special thanks to Pastor Holloway, Bart and Melissa Caulder, and Rogan Nabors. Also, the Baptist Health and hospice staff for their care.

The family requests donations to the Compassion Center to continue his legacy.
