Cora A. Watson, 91, of Arkadelphia, AR, passed away on Monday, September 6 after a brief illness.

Cora was preceded in death by her parents, Audra and Buck Arnold of Arkadelphia, her husband of 66 years, Robert G. Watson, and her sister, Ollie Wiley of Hillsboro, TX.

She is survived by her son James (Jill) Watson, daughter Karen (Randall) Ross, grandaughter Stephanie (Nick) Klemetson, grandson Thomas (Natosha) Watson, 2 brothers-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.

Cora enjoyed a fantastic 24 year journey as a military wife. Upon retirement from the Army, the family returned to Arkadelphia, where Robert and Cora became sponsors to the Arkadelphia High School Quiz Bowl, and they were active in Unity Baptist Church. She worked as a lecturer for Weight Watchers International, and was a lifetime member of Weight Watchers.

Unity Baptist Church in Arkadelphia will host a memorial for Cora at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Reverend Danny Golden will preside. The family would like to thank Cora’s care givers at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation, as well as the staff of St Vincent’s Hospital who provided her end of life care.
