Charles H. (Chuck) Noland passed away July 13, 2017 in Little Rock. He was born November 27, 1936 in Belfast, OH to William and Ethel (Smalley) Noland. He was a friend to all and never knew a stranger.
He was first and foremost a proud USMC veteran, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was co-owner of Noland’s Shop N’ Save in Richmond, IN and Chuck’s Super Valu in Brookville, OH and most recently, worked at Sunshine Center in Dayton, OH as a security guard. Chuck enjoyed fishing, spending time with friends and family, playing cards (especially Euchre) and was an avid sports fan (Go Buckeyes)! He was a member of the North Riverdale Lutheran Church and the Dayton Marine Corps League.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethel, a sister, Eleanor (Frost), and a son, Todd Noland. He is survived by many family members, whom he loved dearly, including his wife of 41 years Carolyn (Kistler), daughters Dawn (Shope) Belknap (Rodney) of Little Rock and Tracy (Shope) Vermillion (Brian) of Zionsville, IN, sons Scott Shope (Shannon) of Wadsworth, OH and Bill Noland (Katie) of Leland, NC, 9 grandchildren, sister June (Noland) Leonard (Jim) of Woodland Park, CO, brothers Robert (Joyce) Noland of Wilmington, OH and Steve (Donna) Noland of Lewisburg, OH, a host of other family members, and countless friends.

Pastor Monte Stevens will conduct a memorial service celebrating the life of Chuck on July 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the North Riverdale Lutheran Church at 45 Kurtz Ave, Dayton, OH 45045. Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made to the church’s food pantry or music program.
