Carolyn Marlow

Carolyn Gale (Kingsbury) Marlow, 82, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017. She was born in Carthage, Missouri on January 18, 1935 to George Kozier and Georgia Adean (Nave) Kingsbury. She and her family moved to Rolla, Missouri where she met and married her high school sweetheart, James Wesley Marlow, on November 26, 1954. She was a member of the Stephens College spring graduating class of 1954.



She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Her hobbies included traveling with her family, camping in the U.S. from coast to coast and border to border. Later, travels with her husband included multiple cruises to fulfill their goal of dancing around the world. She was a talented painter, and enjoyed needlework and genealogy.



She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronald Marion Kingsbury. She is survived by her husband, James, children, Lucinda Guillory, Michael Marlow (Diana), Melissa Moore (Tom), grandchildren, Rachel Marlow, Nathan Guillory, Mindy Fike (Justin), and Aaron Moore (Darcy), and great-granddaughter, Eleanor Fike. She will be greatly missed by her family.



Memorial service will be at Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church, 9921 Highway 107, Sherwood, Arkansas on Saturday, September 23 at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rolla, Missouri Saturday, October 14th at 10 am. The family would like to thank the Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church family and Hospice Home care on Bowman Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to SHUMC and Hospice Home Care.
