Redmond Keisler was born December 12, 1953 and departed this life for his heavenly home July 28, 2022 at the age of 68 years. He was preceded in death by his parents A.C (Tank) and Iwana Keisler. He leaves behind his loving partner Kelly Rogers of Pocahontas, AR as well as his brothers Randy Keisler of Sheridan, Arkansas and Rick Keisler of Nashville, Tennessee. He is also survived by two sons, Daniel Keisler and his wife Jessica of Ozark, AR and David Keisler and his wife Brittany also of Sheridan. His beloved grandchildren were the light of his life….Parker, Cade and Avery (Daniel and Jessica) and Mak and Izzy (Dave and Brittany).
Redmond wore many hats in his time here on earth starting in television camera work, radio sales, sound engineering and finishing up his career over the last 30 years managing his own video production company. He also spent many months in his early years with the Baptist Missionary Association as videographer traveling to several foreign countries aiding in the spreading of the gospel.
He spent more than 40 years playing and singing bluegrass music with Randy and Rick as The Keisler Brothers and in recent years as The Redmond Keisler Band. He has made countless friends through out his music career and will be truly missed in the bluegrass community. He loved bluegrass music and a good jam session as much as he loved a good chicken fried steak.
He was passionate about raising funds and donating his time, talent, and energy to the church and for the Kids in Bluegrass program to which he provided instruments for kids eager to learn and to help promote bluegrass to a younger generation.
Undoubtedly he loved Kelly and his family to his core, but he loved the Lord more and was certain of his salvation. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan and the Lord has welcomed him home.
We invite all family and friends to an informal visitation/memorial service in honor of Redmond on Saturday August the 13th at 1:00pm at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan AR.
