Buddy Tulk, 90, of Maumelle, Arkansas passed away peacefully after a brief illness on November 7, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Buddy was born in Hagerman, New Mexico on August 14, 1934 to William Millard, Sr. and Carrie Elena Tulk. He was the sixth of nine children.
On September 11, 1955 he married his childhood sweetheart, Wilma. They had three children - Barry Tulk, Daniel Tulk and Valerie Kerr; five grandchildren - Caressa Goodman, Zachary Tulk, Taylor Tulk, Dalton Kerr and Morgan Trujillo; and six great-grandchildren - Liam and Kellyn Goodman, Kamryn, Kylie and Mila Tulk and Beau Trujillo.
Buddy lost his wife Wilma on September 24, 2022 after 67 years of marriage. He lovingly cared for her in their home throughout her entire battle with Dementia.
Buddy and Wilma owned and operated a sheep and cattle ranch for decades in Hope, New Mexico. In 1975 they moved to Durango, Colorado where he had an insulation company for many years. In the mid-1980s, he became a massage therapist after receiving schooling in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His greatest joy was being able to help others. In 2006, they moved to Maumelle, Arkansas where he continued his massage therapy business until physical limitations and the demands of caring for his ailing wife became too great. He thoroughly enjoyed the people he met through this business and the lasting friendships he gained in Colorado, New Mexico and Arkansas.
Buddy was a devoted Jehovah's Witness and served as an elder in his congregation from 1971 until the time of his death. He was especially known for his strong faith and love for his Creator, Jehovah God.
Buddy had a great love for the outdoors and creation, especially the rugged San Juan mountains in Colorado. He loved taking long drives in the mountains with his family and went any chance he got.
