William Moffatt

William Houston “Bill” Moffatt was born July 7, 1937 to the late Otho Wade and Thelma Boyd Moffatt in Crossett, Arkansas. He departed for his heavenly home on March 24, 2021 at the age of 83.

A graduate of Crossett High School, Bill attended college at Ouachita Baptist University. After serving in the United States Navy from 1959-1963, he spent his career working for Southwestern Bell and later as a supervisor for Alltel Communications.

Bill leaves behind a loving family, including his wife Gwendolyn, his grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Sarah, Liza, Easton and McCartney Murphy, who he adored. He is preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Lettie McCartney and sister Carolyn Moffatt.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Reverend Eric Capaci, Reverend Scott Mercer and Sonya Chittum with Gospel Light Church of Hot Springs. With special thanks to Suzanne Gould and the Garrett Woods Senior Living community.
