Timothy Parker, 79 of Hot Springs Village, AR went to be with the Lord On May 6, 2023 at Chi St Vincent Hospice Care in Hot Springs, AR. He was born October 25, 1943 in Memphis, TN to the late Albert and Lillie Smith Parker. Timothy graduated from Whitehaven High School, Memphis, TN.
Timothy joined and spent over 20 years with the 164th Tennessee Air National Guard located in Memphis, TN. He also retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as a Systems Engineer with 39 years of service.
The Village provided Tim with so many things to participate in. Tim had the honor of being a Gold Medal Senior Olympian in table tennis. He had a favorite paddle, used often and known as “Killer”.
Tim had a love of travel and to dance from the Bop 1950’s era. He met his wife Donna in a private Bop club in Memphis. It was love at first sight. They danced many nights away while winning many competitions. Also in their retirement years they shared that mutual love of travel and embarked on many adventures together exploring North American, European, and Asian continents. Tim never met a stranger and was always noted for his kindness.
Tim is survived by his wife Donna Parker, daughters Sherri Bernhardt (Mike), Connie Rauch (Fred), son David Parker (Mona), and brother Al Parker (Jerrye). Also surviving are six grandchildren Caitlin Randall, Krislyn Brown, Kyle Nadler, Corey Brown, Kelsey Garrett, and Brendan Parker, as well as two great-grandchildren Hunt and Anna.
Timothy Parker enjoyed the Village and many of the wonderful opportunities it offered. Tim and Donna were active members in Woodlands Presbyterian Church.
The funeral service will be held at Woodlands Presbyterian Church on June 10, at 11:00 A.M. with Paster Randy Carstens presiding.
