Timothy Ray Newberry

Timothy “Tim” Ray Newberry, 70, of Bauxite, passed away on February 2, 2025, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. He was born on July 31, 1954, in Topeka, Kansas, to the late Vernie Ray Nicholson and Joanna Marie Howard. Shortly after his birth, he was adopted by the late Dorothy and William Sylvan Newberry, who raised him with love. 

 Tim is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Loretta Newberry; his children, Mason (Loren), Christopher, and Theresa; and his cherished grandsons, Liam and Levi, who lovingly called him “Pop.” He is also survived by his brothers, Robert (Mitzi), Dwayne (Theresa), Tim Lee, and Lonnie; his sisters, Nava Sue (Gary), Penny (Myron), Wanda (Coy), Jackie (Alberto), and Joanna (Bob); sister-in-law, Dottie; and brother-in-law, Charlie (Kelly) Nall. 

 He was preceded in death by his brothers, Buddy, Bobby, and Jimmy, as well as his brother-in-law, Larry Nall. 

 Tim retired from CoorsTek and was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, NASCAR, and WWE. He found joy in relaxing in his favorite chair, surrounded by family and the things he loved most. 

 A gathering to honor Tim’s life will be held on March 22, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Parkview United Methodist Church in Benton. 

 Instead of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to help with final expenses, contributions in Tim’s honor can be sent to Loretta or Mason Newberry.
