Thomas Dixon Shropshire, Jr.

Thomas Dixon Shropshire, Jr passed peacefully at 1:16 AM on January14, 2025 in Batesville, AR.

He was also known to friends and family as “Tommy”, “Titus”, and “T-Bone”. Tommy was born on December 17, 1952, in Charlotte, NC to Thomas Dixon Shropshire, Sr and Pauline Smithers Shropshire. He graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in 1971. Tommy moved to central Arkansas from Holden Beach, NC in 2021.

He is survived by his two sisters, Lynn Porter and husband Keith, Shay Simmons and husband Chris; three children, Derek Shropshire and wife Sarah McGuire, Elissa Collver and husband Josh, and Kyle Shropshire; three grandsons, Easton, Jase and Emmett Collver and two step granddaughters, Micaela and Makenzie Collver; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tommy loved adventure. He was an outdoorsman who was an avid mountain climber, scuba diver and fisherman. He had a love for music and dancing as well. Tommy was very outgoing, enjoyed life, had a contagious smile and had a wild sense of humor. Tommy had a charm and charisma about him that people gravitated towards.

Tommy requested to not have a funeral or memorial service.
