Richard Poe, 75, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away on March 10, 2025, after a year long battle with cancer. He was born November 22, 1949, to Clarence Lee Poe and Ruby Lavell Main in Aubrey, Arkansas.
He is survived by his son, James Poe (Christy) of West Memphis, Arkansas; daughter, Leah Edmondson (John) of Killeen, Texas; five grandchildren, Brian Poe (Reagan), Cameron Shaver, Caleb Shaver (Maddie), Victoria Poe (Jacob), and Ryan Poe; two great grandchildren, Waylon Shaver and Emri Shaver; two sisters, Annie Powell (Frank) and Mary Poe; two brothers, Clarence Poe (Carolyn) and Frankie Poe; bonus grandchildren, Colt Shaver (Chelsea), Allie Howton, Auston Howton, and Olivia Crump, and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Rean Nicholas.
Richard was a retired automobile paint and repair technician. He started at a local body shop in Marianna, Arkansas at the age of 17 and several years later opened his own business. He was well known in the community for his expertise in rebuilding Broncos and other classic cars.
He was a dedicated member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, where he found peace and fellowship with his spiritual brothers and sisters.
A family-lead memorial service will be at a later date.
