Jo Bates, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully at Arkansas Hospice on June 13, 2024 after her battle with cancer at the age of 65. She was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her. Jo's greatest joy in life was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and friends.

Her legacy is one of kindness, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones. Jo had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved, and her home was always a welcoming place filled with laughter and joy. She loved being on the lake spending time with her family and friends. She also loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She was an avid Astros fan and she loved her dogs Dot and Lilly Pie.

Jo is survived by her sons Chip and Kitty Reeves, Joe Bates, Josh Bates, and Steve and Kelly Bates, and her cherished grandchildren Harrison Reeves, Kensey Reeves, Addison Reeves, Braelynne Bates, Baylor Bates, Jordan Bates, Lexi Bates, Mariah Bates, and Halee Bates. She is preceded in death by her father Donald Brown and mother Evangeline Reeves.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Jo's life will be held on July 20th at 6pm at 120 Roadrunner Pt, Hot Springs National Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The American Cancer Society, a testament to Jo's giving spirit and her desire to help others.
