Steven D. Wade

 Steven Dwight Wade, age 71 of Fordyce, passed away on July 12, 2024 at Dallas County Medical Center with his best friend & companion, Lisa Jones, at his side. 

Born November 26, 1952 in San Diego, CA, he is survived by daughter Kristen Wade, sons Kevin (Taylor) and Kirk (Katelyn) Wade, his sister, Sandra Hendricks, brothers Michael and Bruce Wade, and four grandchildren Osiris, Persephone, Dax & Leighton. He was proceeded in death by his wife Connie and his parents, Orison and Marilyn Wade. 

Steven graduated San Diego State with a BS in Chemistry. After college, he worked in a lab in Brawley, CA as an Analytical Chemist. While living and working there he met his future wife, Connie, at a roller skating rink. They would later move to Chula Vista, CA where their three children were born. A job opportunity near Bismarck, AR would bring his family to Arkansas. 

Later in life Steven enjoyed many new interests such as collecting crystals & minerals and studying the energy & healing properties of each kind. He was fascinated with energy healing and astrology. Steven became a certified Reiki Master Healer in 2014 and received his degree in Astrology in January of 2018.

Steven loved to learn and explore new things. He had the unique ability to enjoy a mixture of science and the metaphysical. He was loved by those who knew him and will be greatly missed. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
