Shelley Marie Mitchell

Shelley Mitchell, born November 22, 1955, passed away on December 14, 2024, after a brief but courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 69 years old.

Shelley was the beloved daughter of Barbra Jeanean Bauer and the late Warren Joseph Mitchell. She is survived by her siblings, Lori Huber, Mark Lowry, Jamie Mitchell, John Morell, and Jason Morell, as well as her dear friend of 30 years, Ross Ricker.

Shelley’s love of learning led her to earn an associate degree from Garland County Community College. She had a deep passion for the arts, entertainment, American history, and politics. She was a devoted advocate for animals, finding joy in rescuing and caring for orphaned cats. Above all, she cherished her family and the bonds she shared with those closest to her.

Shelley’s warmth, intellect, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and compassion lives on in the hearts of her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local animal rescue organization in Shelley’s honor.
