Shelia Townsend

SHEILA RUTH TOWNSEND, 69 of Little Rock, passed away January 15,2018, and met her Savior Jesus Christ. She was a member of New Haven Missionary Baptist Church. She was born April 9, 1948, to the late Philmore and Edna Townsend. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brother, Billy Townsend and sisters Phyllis Ballentine, Betty Maxwell and Bobbie Forbush. Niece, Rhonda Burrow and nephews Delbert Ballentine, Richard Strickland and Jason Seavers. Great nephew, Anthony Ballentine and great nieces Cameron Townsend and Emma Rogers.

Sheila is survived by her daughters Candy Johnson (Todd), Tracy Speer, Jennifer Lynch ( Jerry ). Grandchildren, Chelsea Moseley(Michael), Joshua Johnson, Jared Daughenbaugh, James Lynch, Brianna and Avery Prince. Great grandchildren Peyton Blazer, Parker Gillis and Paisley Moseley. Siblings, Judy Townsend, Stan Townsend(Linda), Donna Seavers(Gary) all of Little Rock and Vicky Townsend of Cabot.

Sheila was a lady of many talents and a wonderful hair stylist. She had a love for reading and would tell her children to take an adventure through a book. She loved camping and floating the Piney River. She loved music and sang as a child on The Barnyard Frolic Show. Her rendition of Won’t You Ride In My Little Red Wagon was a show stopper.

The family would like to thank the Hospice staff on Bowman Road of Little Rock.

Services will be Saturday at New Haven Missionary Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. 19824 Lawson Road Little Rock, Arkansas 72210.
