Sarah Lynn Smith entered eternal life on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. Her spirit is carried on by her two children, three grandchildren, five surviving siblings, and extended family and friends from her childhood home of Gregory, Arkansas to where she settled in North Little Rock.
Sarah was a creative, strong-willed, inquisitive woman who never lost her tenacious demeanor, up to her last days on earth. She loved chocolate, making beautiful handmade jewelry, taking on any and all challenges and did we mention, chocolate?
She was strong in her faith and always desired to be closer to Jesus. We are comforted that she is now home with him.
We are fortunate to have learned many valuable lessons from her during her 66 years, among them: Never take no for an answer. Find a way to laugh more than you cry. Always help those who are in need, regardless of how much you have. Grow a garden. Don’t stifle your sense of adventure. Be true to yourself. You can solve or do anything if you just dive in and try. If a turtle takes up residence in your backyard, feed him tomatoes.
The celebration of her life will take place at Arkansas Flag and Banner in Little Rock on Saturday, December 30 from 1- 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to River City Ministries or Arkansas Children's Hospital.
