Preston Padgett, born August 17th, 1954, met our Savior in paradise on May 1st, 2022. He was reunited with his parents Wayman and Ina Padgett as well as his brother Billy Padgett. The Padgett boys are together again. Heaven help them because we sure didn’t know how.
Those Preston left to finish this earthly journey include his children: Kimberly and (Jason) Tannehill, Magen Schaub, James Preston Padgett, Samantha and (David) Sanchez, and Angela Padgett along with seven grandchildren. Preston passed from this life to the next at the age of 67 in his family home in Little Rock.
Preston was known to be a jack of all trades: heavy equipment operator, truck driver, small engine repairman, dog groomer, Nebraska corn farmer, beer drinker, Harley rider, guitar picker, pipe smoker, and blues singer. He enjoyed life and looked for the positive in each day. Although he had and caused his share of pain in this life, he always found the humor in this fallen world. He never looked down on anyone, never pretended to be something he wasn’t and never failed to give thanks to God our Father.
Preston loved the Lord, his family, his friends, and his dogs. He loved good music, good food and good times. Any encounter with Preston would leave you with a smile in your heart and light in your soul. This world will certainly be less entertaining without him but what rejoicing in heaven there must be.
