Phyllis Lynn Lavender

Phyllis Lynn Lavender, age 74, of Glenwood, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024. Born on February 23, 1950, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Morris C Lavender Sr and Pearl Laurene Lavender, Phyllis was a cherished daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.

Phyllis is survived by her mother, Pearl Laurene Lavender, of Little Rock, Arkansas; her sons, James Harry Claypoole, Jr (Ashley) of Bryant, AR, and Charles Scott Hall (Sara) of Conway, AR; her sisters, Laura L Lavender of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Linda L Lavender of Yuma, Arizona; her brother, Morris (Mickey) C Lavender Jr (Phillis) of Little Rock, Arkansas; her dear friend/caregiver, Larry Barham of Glenwood, Arkansas; and her grandchildren, Joseph Alexander Hall, Kennedy Grace Claypoole, and Boyd Copeland Claypoole. She was preceded in death by her father.

Phyllis grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1968. She had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and was a lifeline for many rescues throughout her life.

Phyllis had an unapologetic faith in Jesus Christ and looked forward to transitioning from this world into eternity with Him.

At Phyllis’ request, no service is planned. In her memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to your local animal rescue organization. This is a fitting tribute to Phyllis, who had a deep love for animals.

Phyllis will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family is deeply grateful for the support and love shown to Phyllis during her life and in her passing.
