Phillip Ray Kitchens of Hot Springs crossed the River Jordan on his journey to meet the Lord October 8, 2018. He was a loving husband to his wife Sylvia; loving father to his children Christopher Jon, Lori Ann (Dan Lemm), Christopher Michael (Chryistal), Shelly Kay (Paul Marshall), and Kenneth Ray; loving Papa to his grandchildren Braeden, Brianna, Colby, Camden, Jacob, Joshua, Jace, Blake, Brianna, Laney, and Jett; and loving Gramps to his great grandchildren Ayden, Ryan, and Billy.
Phillip spent most of his life self employed as a carpenter building houses in and around Hot Springs. Rarely seen without a cup of coffee at hand, he never met a stranger. Phillip was the kind of man you enjoyed being around; quick with a smile, a joke, and a helping hand. He devoted his life to God and his family. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing. He included his family in all that he did, lived a life full of love and made many memories along the way. He was a man of principle and enjoyed the simple things in life. He will be missed by many.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Mullins and the wonderful nurses and staff of Hamilton West Family Medicine Clinic and the staff at Hospice of Central Arkansas for their help and assistance they have provided to our family.
A memorial service/celebration of life will be held October 13, 2018 from 1-4pm in the Christian Life Center at Oaklawn Baptist Church in Hot Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Liver Foundation or Hospice of Central Arkansas, 835 Central Avenue Suite 301 Hot Springs, AR 71901.
