Paul S. Elias, age 68, of Little Rock, Arkansas joined his Savior on May 28, 2018. He was affectionately called "Nino" by those who knew him best. Paul was a genuinely kind and compassionate soul. He believed in others before self and was grounded in his Christian faith. Paul was a great storyteller and a charismatic man who never met a stranger. He was willing to help in any way. Since 1974, Paul and his family owned and operated several restaurants in the Baton Rouge and Monroe areas. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years Charlotte; son, Anthony and wife Jaclynn of Little Rock; stepson Troy Roberts and wife Shannon of Bentonville, Arkansas; two incredibly loved and cherished grandsons, Nathaniel and Jeremy; brother-in-law and great friend John Fleming of West Monroe, LA; siblings Peter Elias of Monroe, Louisiana, Amal Van Wagenberg, Mona Ja’ajah and Nora Elias of Bethesda, Maryland; Nieces, Maria-Helene Van Wagenberg and Maya Ja’ajah; Nephews, Frans Van Wagenberg, Anthony Ja’ajah, and Georgie Ja’ajah and three faithful Shih-Tzu buddies, Molly, Spice, and Oreo.
Paul is preceded in death by his mother Wa'ad (Helen) George Elias and father Shukri Boulus Elias.
Memorials may be made in his honor to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123. The fight throughout the nine year journey was real and very difficult at times, but he never lost his hope and his optimism.
