Patsy "Pat" Witt

March 27, 1939 — May 21, 2024

Patsy Sue Witt, “Pat,” went to her heavenly home on May 21, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is
predeceased in death by her loving husband of 50 years Homer Dee Witt and sister Doris Christie. She
was born March 27, 1939, in Lubbock, Texas, and resided in Waco, Texas, until 1998 when she and her
husband Homer moved to Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a member of the Garden Club and Future
Homemakers of America Club at Waco High School. She was employed at Waco Gas Company after
graduating.
She enjoyed cooking, crafting, reading, social meetings with her church friends, sitting outside on her
patio with her cat, and spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband owned and
operated Witt’s Cafeteria in Waco, Texas for many years and then Aladdin Overhead Door Company,
and she was known for her delicious homemade pies and salads served at Witt’s. Witt’s was once a
featured story in Southern Living Magazine, and they were well known for homestyle cooking
unmatched by any restaurant in town with customers lined up outside in anticipation of a delicious
lunch. Her husband maintained a large garden and peach orchard that provided fresh ingredients for
Witt’s recipes.
She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and the visits, cards, phone calls, care and concern
during her illness were deeply appreciated by her and her family. Special thanks to her best friend,
Becky Vanness, for her ongoing support and friendship over the years since the passing of her husband
in 2008. Pat was blessed with a wonderful healthcare team who made her feel loved and cared for like a
family member: CareLink senior services; Fresenius Dialysis (12 th Street) under Dr. John Heifner; Encore
Nursing Facility in West Little Rock; Gentiva Hospice.
She is survived by two daughters, Monica Sullivan, and Janie Irby, three grandchildren Mitch
Moorehead, Amy Counce and Katie Sullivan, and nieces Gayle Christie and Darla Stinnett, nephews
Steve Christie and Mike Christie. There will be a private memorial service for family and friends. In lieu
of flowers, memorials can be made to Park Place Baptist Church in Bryant, Arkansas.

Cremation Arrangements entrusted to Arkansas Cremation.
