Patsy Lou Williams Christensen peacefully passed away on August 24, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 89. She was born in Gainesville, Texas on January 28, 1935, to Walter and Catherine Williams, the third of five children. She married her loving and devoted husband, John (Jack) S. Christensen with whom she had four children. Patsy was a devoted wife and mother who found joy in her role as a homemaker.
Patsy was known for her inquisitive nature and love for cooking, reading and traveling. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church, and her faith brought her much comfort. Patsy had a warm and welcoming personality, making friends wherever she went and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She played a pivotal role in establishing the food pantry at Salem United Methodist Church in Conway, AR and remained an active member until her health declined.
In her free time, Patsy enjoyed delving into genealogy through the Daughters of the American Revolution, a community that enriched her life with friendship and the love of history and patriotism. Her adorable Yorkie, Minnie, always at her side brought her companionship and joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, loving and devoted husband and her brothers Wade and Bob Williams, and sister Betty Johnson. Patsy will be deeply missed by her children John (Patricia), Scott (Diana), Justin (Eduardo) and Cheryl Lyons, sister MaryAnn Wilson (Gus), grandchildren Trey and Kenneth (Susan) Christensen, Carri (James) Eversole, Caylee Christensen, Vernon and Catherine Lyons, Jaime Lyons Briggs (Stephen), Shiloh Lyons and Walt (Dee Dee) Lyons and great-grandchildren John (Jack) and Liam Christensen, Lyric Hatley-Christensen, McKynzie, Jacobi and Derrick Briggs and many nieces and nephews.
Patsy’s family wishes to thank her devoted friends Audine Cooper of Ada, Oklahoma, Chris Vasquez, Beulah McCain, Charlie Jo McNabb and Carol Rolf of Conway, AR and her devoted caregiver Jamie Jones of Little Rock.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 6 th at 11:00 am at the Salem United Methodist Church in Conway, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Patsy to Salem United Methodist Church Sharing Fridge or the Cadron Post Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
