Norman W. Yaniger Jr. (78) passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Norman was preceded by his parents Norman W. and Frances J. Yaniger of Little Rock, Arkansas. He is survived by his son Kaleb Yaniger. He was the second of six children and is survived by his two brothers, three sisters, nieces and nephews. Carlotta Jones (Gerald-deceased) daughter Lisa. Guy Yaniger (Haley) daughter Chevis, (Cory) Cooper and Cayla, Johanna Horton (Johnny-deceased) children Whitney and Sydney, Pam Halter (Mike) and Derek Yaniger (Eden) children, Emma and (Heather-deceased). 

Norman was raised in the Catholic faith, attending Good Counsel Parochial school, Catholic High school, and a member of Christ the King parish. Norman continued his education at the University of Arkansas Little Rock / Bachelor of Science degree. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and cherished his lifelong friendships from those days. Norman joined the United States Air Force Reserves serving six years. 

After college with a major in marketing and advertising, he began his extensive and rewarding retail career. He was vice president and general manager of David’s of Arkansas. He managed 6 retail clothing outlets, responsible for associates, buying, advertising, merchandising and sales. 

Norman saw an opportunity and a void in the men’s formal-wear apparel and opened his first of many formal-wear stores, Premiere Apparel Inc. The company grew to a 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse with 60 employees, 4 lease departments in M.M. Cohn’s, 8 retail stores and 250 wholesale outlets. During the holiday seasons, parties, weddings and special events, Premiere Apparel could distribute as many as 1,500 Tuxedoes on a weekend. After a very successful 20+ years, Norman sold Premier Apparel in 2000. 

The second chapter of his life was dedicated to helping others. With influence from his son Kaleb, Norman started working with teens, individuals and groups dealing with negative lifestyle issues. 

As a Licensed Hypnotherapy practitioner, he specialized in negative and self-limiting attitudes.

He placed special focus on stress management training, fitness and nutrition programs. 

Norman also founded the Yoga in the Park Studio in early 2000’s to compliment his work with individuals and groups with Yoga sessions to enhance wellness, meditation, training and fitness. 

Norman will be remembered and sadly missed as a father, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. 

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 28th at 10:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church at 4002 Rodney Parham Rd in Little Rock, Arkansas.
