Melanie Gayle Gunter

Melanie Gayle Gunter, 61, was born July 25, 1962 in Escondido, California to Melvin Goodwin and Gloria Peek.

Melanie passed away peacefully in Maumelle, Arkansas on October 30, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She leaves behind her husband of 20 years, Timothy Gunter, mother Gloria Peek, daughters Lovella Rodgers and Lydia Moore, and three step-children that she loved as her own – Hannah Gunter, Robert Gunter, and Henry Gunter; two younger brothers, Melton Goodwin and Louis Lovell Peek, along with grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and younger sister, Melinda Goodwin.

She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 24, 1984 in Frankfurt, Germany – which brought her so much joy.

Melanie was a much loved mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was a little woman – only 4’ 11” and a half (don’t forget the half!), but she made such a large impact on so many. Until we see her again, she will be greatly missed.
