Mary Martha Marie (Edwards) Mills

Mary Martha Marie Mills, age 91, went to glory on January 15, 2024.  

Mary was preceded in death by her mother Hazel Marie Edwards, father Henry L. Edwards, husband James Carl Mills, daughter-in-law Jena Rena Mills, and son-in-law Charles T. Gentry.

Mary leaves behind son Carl Roger Mills and daughter Janet Denise Gentry; three grandchildren, Christine Marie Allen & husband Michael, Malea Gamble & husband Tristan; Jolene Hoffman & husband Aaron; four great grandchildren James Allen, Samuel Allen, Bonnie Allen and Jocob Gamble. Plus many, many friends.

Fresh out of high school Mary married the love of her life. Both Carl and Mary came to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ early in their marriage and raised two children in the instruction of the Lord. Devoted to each other, they enjoyed many years together for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health.  Mary and Carl were residents of Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Crossett, Arkansas and were heavily involved with a local body of believers throughout their lives.

Mary was a busy homemaker devoted to her home and children.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing and woodworking.  Each summer she was active in Vacation Bible School planning craft projects for the children.

Mary is now reunited with her loving husband, Carl, and all the loved ones who have gone before her.

A Memorial Service honoring her will be held at Fellowship Bible Church Benton, 5724 Alcoa Road, Benton, Arkansas, on January 25, 2024 at 2:00pm.
