Mark Edwards Meadors, age 56, left this earth to join all of those who went before him on December 20, 2024. Mark was born on May 19, 1968, in Little Rock, Arkansas to John M. and Joyce N. Meadors.
Before Mark became sick, he loved golf, hunting, music, going to the lake and spending time with friends and family. Mark’s love for his family did not go unnoticed. For example, Mark would take care of his mother and help his father with her care while he was battling cancer. He was caring, passionate, loyal to a fault and never met a stranger. Mark always looked for the good in people and would go out of his way to help a friend. He never met a stranger and will be missed by many.
Surviving Mark is his wife Michele and two daughters Mabry (23) and Elizabeth (21). Mark considers his daughters his greatest achievement. Mark is proceeded in death by his mother, Joyce N. Meadors. He is also survived by his father, John M. Meadors; his brother, Dr. John N. Meadors (Amber); sister-in-law, Shawn Olsen (Buddy) and many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
Mark had sincere gratitude for all of those who helped him through his battle with cancer, especially Dr. Joseph Beck and those at CARTI as well as Dr. Josh Smith at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Without their help, Mark would have never had the chance to find a ‘happy medium’ with the side effects of his cancer.
Mark will be cremated and there will be a private ceremony.
In honor of Mark, memorials can be made to the following: The CARTI Foundations, The Cosmopolitan (AA) Group Foundation, The Sigma Alpha Epsilon Arkansas Upsilon Chapter Foundation or The Catholic High School Foundation.
As Revelations 21:4 said, “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no pain, for the former things have passed away.”
