Lori Witt-Tucker, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, mentor, confidant, and friend passed away on the morning of February 14, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Lori was born on January 24, 1963 in Borger, Texas and is the daughter of her beloved parents, the late Thomas "Bud" Witt and Lucille (Witt) Gazaway. Lori graduated from Borger High School and attended Southern Methodist University.
Lori is remembered by her friends and family as an individual who loved more deeply and more fully than most. She loved her husband, Tim Tucker, through thirty-one years of marriage, through highs and lows, through loss and joy, with a faithfulness that never wavered and only grew with every passing day. She loved her two children Paige Tucker-Mebane and Pierce Witt Tucker with an unmatched fierceness and never stopped cheering them on as they chase their dreams in life. She loved her son-in-law, Mitchell Mebane and her future daughter-in-law, Rebecca Killam, from the beginning and welcomed them into her family with open arms. She loved her grandson, her "sweet angel-baby" John Tucker Mebane, with an all-encompassing fullness that many will never know, and few who have never met her can truly comprehend. She never stopped loving and laughing with her brothers: John Witt, Tom Witt, and Randy Witt. Her nieces and nephews never stopped bringing joy to her life, and she loved them with all of her heart and soul.
Lori loved her many friends and coworkers with an unmatched intensity and generosity of spirit. If she knew you, she loved you, and if she loved you, you were family. There were no lengths that she would not go for family, as she demonstrated repeatedly throughout her life.
Lori left many lessons for those she left behind. Most importantly, she left the following lesson: Love with all your heart, and any chance you have to add love to the world should be taken. Give what you have where you can and always do what you know in your heart to be right, and this world will be a richer place for your presence in it. Lori had a smile that could heal the world, and she never stopped smiling, no matter what challenges came her way.
Lori’s remains will be cremated and scattered in the mountains of New Mexico, which she so dearly loved to visit. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in her honor to either the American Cancer Society or the Texas Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital.
