Linda Pruett Blackwell, of Maumelle was born in the old St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock on July 30, 1942 and died at Arkansas Hospice, in the newer CHI St. Vincent on January 28, 2018.
Linda was a proud member of the Little Rock Central High School Class of 1960. She was the Office Manager of the Arkansas Wildlife Federation before switching sides to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and retiring as a legal secretary.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Faye Pruett, sister Suzanne Pruett Carter, and granddaughter Magen Blackwell. She is survived by her children, Scot Blackwell, Sr., Rusty (Jackie) Blackwell, Nancy (Jason) Langley, grandchildren, Scot Blackwell, Jr., Megan Braud, Raely Rouyea, Adam Blackwell, Chris Blackwell, Carter Langley, Hampton Langley; five great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Gene Carter and Martha Trusten-Holder Dworshak, her best friend of almost 70 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Maumelle Friends of the Animals, PO Box 13061, Maumelle, AR 72113. Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
