Laurence (Larry) Franklin Long, Jr., 64, of Pine Bluff, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. He was born on October 13, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Laurence Franklin Long, Sr. and Martha Mormino (Boykin).
Larry is preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Harrell Boykin; sisters, Elizabeth Gibson and Misty Baker, his niece, Nikki Hunnicutt; great nephew, Micah Batson and grandchild, Baby Sweet.
Larry was truly one of a kind and was love by so many. Growing up in Chicago, he was a member of the Clown Club with his dad, Larry Sr. for many years. Larry loved his Chicago Cubs; they were better than sliced bread and no one could tell him any different. He also had a love for the Chicago Bulls, really anything Chicago related. Larry was proud of his hometown. He had a passion for dogs; where you saw Larry, you saw his dog.
Larry was an amazing son, brother, father, grandfather and uncle. He had an incredible personality. To know Larry was to love him. He loved to spend time with his family and closest friends.
Larry is survived by his children, Thomas Geaslin (Felipe), Larry Long III, Joey Long, Charlie Long and Cathy Sweet (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Zane, Lily, Ethan, Aliyah, Raylyn, CJ, Braxton, Austin, Alexis, Marley, Jeremiah and Lacie, Misti Jo, Kandy, Roger, and Randy; his sister Heide Burgess (Byron); his brother, Micheal Boykin (Lisa); his nieces, Donna Lu, Jennifer Holland (Richard), Lori Batson, April Eason; his nephews William Batson (Monique) and John Hunnicutt (Jason); numerous great nieces and nephews and many friends who all love and cared for him.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at The Refuge , 5400 Windham in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 71602 at 3:00 p.m.
