Laura Pemberton Hornor died peacefully on June 5, 2014, at the age of 69. Laura was a lifelong resident of Little Rock and graduated from Hall High School in 1962. Following college at Henderson State University, she lived in New York City where she attended the Parsons School of Interior Design. Later, she especially enjoyed working at Tiffany’s, where she enhanced her knowledge and love of jewelry and other beautiful things. Laura was a member of the Arkansas Society of the Colonial Dames of America. Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Tap and Sue Hornor of Little Rock; grandparents, Gordon and Alice Campbell of Little Rock, and Tap and Lelia Hornor of Helena, AR. She is survived by her sister, Maggie Koone and husband Ray, and sister, Mary Sue Jacobs and husband John. Additional survivors include her niece, Lisa Moriconi and her family, and nephew, John Hornor Jacobs and his family. A private graveside service will be held at Mount Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be at the home of Mary Sue and John Jacobs on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 1 Children’s Way, Little Rock, AR 72202-3591, or to a charity of choice.
