Kimberly Josephine Fancher-Gonzalez, 62, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away on February 3, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Kimberly was born on March 31, 1961, in Springdale, Arkansas, to Wayne Edward Fancher and Betty Jo Seals. She graduated from Springdale High School in 1979 and later attended Arkansas Tech University, where she earned both a bachelor's and a master's degree in nursing.
Kimberly proudly served in the U.S. Army, including during the Persian Gulf War, until her honorable discharge in 1995. She went on to dedicate over 30 years to nursing, working at various hospitals and clinics, most recently at the UAMS Urology Clinic in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She is survived by her two brothers, Tommy Fancher of Springdale, Arkansas, and Sam Fancher of Kingston, Arkansas; her daughters, Sarah Brown-Morua (Juan Morua) of Cave Springs, Arkansas, and Samantha Mitchell (Dereck Mitchell) of Russellville, Arkansas; as well as her cherished grandchildren: Jack Mitchell (Josten Rudder), Cecilia Burguete-Brown, Delaney Burguete-Brown, Haven Mitchell, Eden Mitchell, Ava Mitchell, and Lathen Mitchell. She is also survived by her great-grandchild, Jontaye Cummings. Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Betty Jo Fancher.
In addition to her career in nursing, Kimberly found joy in sewing, quilting, and various arts and crafts. She had a deep love for genealogy and enjoyed spending time researching her family’s history.
Kimberly’s cremation will be handled by Arkansas Cremation. A graveside burial will be held at Mount Olive Cemetery in Kingston, Arkansas, where she will be laid to rest among her family.
