Kathleen Rae Graham, age 74, of Maumelle, Arkansas went home to God Wednesday, August 29, 2018.
Kathleen was a kind and wonderful mother and friend with an incredible sense of humor. Kerry, her daughter, was her heart and soul.
Kathleen was born and raised in Texas City, Texas. She loved growing up on the beach and returned, as often as she could. After graduating Texas City High School, she enrolled and attended the University of Texas. Before finishing her degree in 1965, she married Howard Norton and they moved to Nashville, Tennessee where their daughter, Kerry was born. In 1972, they relocated to Arkansas and were married for eighteen years. After hard work and dedication, she received her Bachelors of Arts Degree at UALR in 1979. Kathleen was an amazingly talented artist, stretching herself from goldsmithing, water colors, charcoal, and wood to even metal sculpting. She was also an accomplished and well known Designer for more than thirty years. She loved working with people and tackling new projects. Kathleen also found joy in sewing, gardening, and loved animals. Her level of creativity and talent was endless. She always had a lot of love to give. That enduring love will linger and truly be missed by many.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Kitty Graham.
She is survived by her daughter, Kerry (Cory) Hawkins, Best friend of over sixty years, Ginger Sparks of Galveston, Texas and all her dear friends.
A Casual Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the outdoor gazebo located at Lake Willastein Park in Maumelle. The family will place directional signage starting at the intersection of Odom Boulevard and Maumelle Boulevard.
