Katherine Imogene Furqueron, 88, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on September 23, 2023. She was born on January 31, 1935 to Kenneth and Florence Rumbold. Katherine was a beloved mother and grandmother.
She spent her early life in Flint, Michigan where she married William Furqueron and started her large family of six children. They later moved to Arkansas where she and her family planted their roots.
Katherine, known as a crafty and talented individual, had a passion for various hobbies. She enjoyed creating miniatures, quilting, and doll making. Her creativity and skill were evident in her beautiful creations, and led her to be the president of the Little Rock chapter of the MiniMind Miniature Association. Additionally, Katherine found joy and camaraderie in the game of Bingo, where she would engage in friendly competition and create lasting memories with her friends and family.
Katherine was a devoted mother. She is survived by her sons Greg, Marshall, and Jeff Furqueron and
daughter Cynthia Plott, as well as six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and one great great
grand child.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Florence Rumbold, her brothers Dan
and Don Rumbold, her son William "Willy" Furqueron, her daughter Cheryl Furqueron, her grandson, William "Billy" Furqueron, and her granddaughter Katherine "Katie" Furqueron.
To honor Katherine's memory, a memorial lunch will be held from 3pm - 6pm on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 3605 Legacy Village Drive in Benton, Arkansas. Family and friends are invited to gather and share stories and memories of Katherine's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the National Alzheimer's Association.
Katherine will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her creative spirit will forever be cherished in their hearts.
