Jr. Savoy

Joseph Savoy, Jr., 73, of North Little Rock died on Friday, June 28, 2013. Joe was a Korean War Veteran, published author, and family man. He was most proud of his four grandchildren, Chris Thennes, Ashley Habig, Andrew & Seth Savoy. His legacy includes a great granddaughter, Isabella Thennes. Joe was an advocate of Cajun French heritage and taught Cajun French. He was co-author of "The Cajun Home Companion" a Cajun French primer. Joe will be missed by his friends at the Hays Community Center where he never met a stranger and chaired the "Liars’ Table". He is survived by his wife Edna and children, Lisa Savoy-Zetterlund & husband Rob and Scott Savoy & wife Alicia. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Council of the Development of French in Louisiana, 735 Rue Jefferson, Lafayette, LA 70501 or The Arkansas Chapter of the American Diabetes Association, 320 Executive Ct, Suite 104, Little Rock, AR 72205. The family has elected to hold a private memorial service.
