Joyce Graham

Joyce Rogers Graham was born in Los Angeles, CA to Harry and Bertha Rogers. The family moved to Little Rock, AR after World War 2, when she was in 2nd grade. She and the entire family joined the Highland Heights A. R. Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Little Rock Central High in 1957 and married William Jess Holiman, Sr., to whom she had her only child, William Jess Holiman, Jr.  She married Gary R. Graham in 1969 with whom she enjoyed more than 30 years of marriage until he predeceased her in 2000. She joined St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, where she felt a spiritual calling, in 1996.

She worked at the M. M. Cohn Company and then for Dr. Tranum at Arkansas Oncology, where she was affectionately, and occasionally fearfully, known as Sarge. She loved reading, attending concerts, dining out with friends Billie, Pam and Terri, and taking care of her cats.

She is survived by her Sister Jean (Buddy), Son William (Loralee), Grandchildren Graham (Lindsay), Alan (Jaclyn), Madeline (Beau); Great Grandchildren Brayden and McKinley, Nieces Rebecca (Danny), Karen, Julie (Terry) and their children; a host of friends; and her beloved cats Samantha and Goldy.

A memorial service will be held later at St. Margaret’s Episcopal.
