Joseph III

Joseph Lafayette Wright III, age 69, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born in Little Rock on December 23, 1947. Mr. Wright was a United States Navy Vietnam War Veteran and served as an electrician after the campaign ended until his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors including riding motorcycles, fishing, and playing golf. He also loved to bowl.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lafayette Wright Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Amy Rivera Wright; his children, Andrew Wright, Patty Smith and husband Eddie, Samuel Wright, Jimmy Berry and wife Shelly, and Jesse Berry; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his mother, Juanita Lassiter-Wright; one brother, James Wright; other relatives, and many friends.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Little Rock Church of God, 6920 W. 65th St., Little Rock, AR 72209 officiated by Pastor Jonathon Pope with military honors delivered by the United States Naval Guard and the Patriot Guard Riders.
